175 Watt Torchiere Floor LampThis is a great 175 Watt halogen lamp and what you might not be aware of is that typically these lamps work at around 300 watts. This means that you are nearly cutting that amount in half, yet you're going to get the same quality of light. Think of how much electricity you're going to save on since you're using a lot less power. This is something that has a great black finish on it and it actually works great for home theater use. It's nice to have in the room because it provides the proper light that won't distract you from what you're watching. As you can see from the image at the top of the page, it has an added dimmer on it, so you can choose how bright you want it to be. This is nice to have for a halogen lamp because the light can be very bright. I just want to point out again that you're going to get the same quality of light with 175 watts. The technology on this particular type of lighting has greatly improved over the years, so if you have an older version of this lamp you might want to get a new one. The torchiere floor lamp is a nice thing to have. I also think that this makes a pretty good gift. It's a light that most people don't have their home and most people will appreciate the type of light that they get from it, which is different from a traditional light bulb.
