Black has always been a sleek thing and I think that it fits in a lot of rooms to provide light, but not in such a way that it is a distraction to the light. There are a number of reasons why you'd want to get a lamp like this. It is obviously something nice to have in your home. Since it is halogen run it will provide very good light. It's a lot different than regular bulbs. You'll get much more light, life and quality from this type of lighting. It's perfect for living rooms and bedrooms. You may even want to pick up one of these as a gift for a marriage, for a new home, for a birthday or even for Christmas. I want to really point out that a black floor lamp is going to fit in any room that you put it in. It's one of those things that will blend or be something that stands out with a sleek design. It's not going to conflict or contrast other colors or anything along those lines. I always go this route with black because I'm not the best with color coordination. I can barely match my clothes, let alone lamps. It is a lot easier for me to buy black ones as gifts because I know that they'll work for people.
